Why is Christianity “The Religion” to follow?

If your bloodline is that of the African people, You can’t not, in the 21st century, logically accept the idea of Christianity,  The idea you have to worship their god or go to hell is preposterous.  During European exploration, colonization, and the transatlantic slave trade, the Catholic Church, as an influential institution, had connections and interactions with European powers. Some Catholic leaders and clergy collaborated with colonial powers and participated in the slave trade, either directly or indirectly. The catholic church is full of evil from top to bottom.  An Associated Press investigation has revealed that nearly 1,700 priests and other clergy members, who have been deemed credibly accused of child sexual abuse by the Roman Catholic Church, live off the grid without proper oversight from religious authorities or law enforcement.

These individuals, including priests, deacons, monks, and laypeople, have integrated into various societal roles, such as middle-school math teachers, counselors for sexual assault survivors, nurses, and volunteers at nonprofits focused on helping at-risk children. Shockingly, they reside near playgrounds and daycare centers; some even foster and care for children.

Disturbingly, despite their departure from the church, many of these individuals have gone on to commit crimes. The AP’s analysis discovered numerous cases of sexual assault and possession of child pornography among this group.

Some Catholic clergy members enslaved people like other powerful entities at the time. This ownership was inconsistent across the board, and practices varied depending on geographical locations and specific circumstances. However, it is worth noting that such ownership contradicted the Church’s teachings on human dignity and the equality of all people.   In the 15th century, Pope Nicholas V issued papal bulls (Dum Diversas in 1452 and Romanus Pontifex in 1455) that permitted the Portuguese to enslave non-Christians and engage in the African slave trade. They also used missionaries to teach the bible, but in reality, it was to blind the African people. The missionaries and the Catholic church played a prominent role in colonizing African territories, often collaborating with European powers. Even to this day, they continue with the pretext of helping Africa.  Why is Christianity “The Religion” to follow?
